Invader's Predator knee pad inserts are a mix of old and new. Traditions are represented by a stiff padding and the modern is represented by a hard plastic (but flexible) center that protects your kneecap like keeping your mouth shut in Belfast during the Troubles. These are of course a bit of a fur hat model compared to, for example, Crye Precision inserts, but the purchase price is relatively low if you happen to lose the pads! Features: Attaches to the knee pad opening of the pants with hook velcro on four sides. Of course, this requires that the knee pad opening of the pants has loop Velcro or velour. Can also be slipped into a traditional knee pad pocket! A seam near the bottom of the hardened part helps the pad fold. There is no information about IRR properties. Put the whole thing inside if that keeps you awake! The width of the whole pad is 16 cm, length 25.5 cm. The pad can be easily cut smaller as needed! The width of the hardened part at its widest point is 11.5 cm, 4 cm at narrowest. Length is 14 cm. The dimensions of the seams are 9 cm at their widest point, 4 cm at their narrowest point and 11.5 cm long. The measurement of the seams is therefore the appropriate size for the knee pad opening of the trousers: a little bigger is fine, smaller won't fit. The pads fit nicely with Invader's own pants, as well as our Hako combat pants, and Crye pants. The weight of one pad is 70g, so a pair weighs a total of 140g.
