Thanks to the back panel you can construct different kinds of configurations for different purposes. The fighter can also acquire several panels for different assemblies like for missions that require e.g. breaching tools, maintenance gear and more ammunition. At the same time, it is easy to make the back of the vest lighter, if you suddenly need space for e.g. a backpack. The structure of the panel is stiffened, so it doesn’t start to droop even with a heavier load and the back of the fighter stays straight like they’re part of the Independence Day parade. The panel attaches to the CPC plate carrier with properly protected zippers and two MALICE style plastic flaps that can simply be threaded to the PALS webbing. The attachment and detachment of the panel can be done fairly quickly after a bit of practice.
