Flat Pack H1 - When Capacity Matters Templar's Gear's Flat Pack H1 is a backpack panel that attaches to the back of a plate carrier (or any vest, really). More compact than its big brother the Flat Pack H1 carries, for example, a hydration bladder and a few other thingies. With the outer surface loading straps, smaller loads can be tightened so that they do not sag or, if necessary, the Flat Pack H1 can be overloaded. Thanks to the quick attachment, you can free your backside when sitting in a car or whilst leaning against a wall and avoiding your squad leader who is looking for "volunteers". In practice, Flat Pack H1 is therefore a quickly removable hybrid of a daypack and pouches attached to the back. The most significant saving compared to the daypack vest combination comes from the weight and the lack of straps - if the idea is to carry really heavy things for really long distances, a backpack is probably more comfortable, but when it comes to quickly and efficiently carrying the necessary equipment for the task, there is nothing better than Flat Packs. The Flat Pack H1 is equipped with CPC-compatible zippers and attachment hooks, and with separately sold adapters, it fits any vest or PALS/MOLLE platform with at least 6 loops on the bottom and 4 on the top (such as Cataphract and Koursores). In principle, there is no need to have loops in the middle, as long as there are enough loops for adapters on both sides and places for MALICE-inspired plastic flaps at the top! So a total of 500 g, which is nothing when you compare it to the other option, i.e. a daypack with shoulder straps and other useless features, if there is a plate carrier on which the system could be attached.
