QASM, or Quick Attach Surface Mount buckle is perhaps the most glorious invention on the field of buckles in this millennium. These lovely things integrate into the straps of most bags and into the PALS loops of the MOLLE system. Officially, these were designed to be used as part of the SwiftClip system where the buckles are mounted vertically onto tactical vests, allowing a chest rig or front panel to be attached. However, you are free to use your imagination with these goodies! The buckles are sold individually one at a time and you often need two buckles for a standard SwiftClip system, if the panel attaches with Velcro. If you are want to mount a chest rig onto your gear, it may be better to get four buckles instead, so that you can lock the chest rig in place at the sides as well. Weight: 20 g
