Vest Pack - Baby Got Back Templar's Gear Vest Pack is a backpack panel that attaches to the back of a plate carrier (or any vest, really). Straight outta bag the panel only works with PALS attachment and D rings, but the real magic unfolds with this product. The idea is that the Vest Pack attaches to a vest's shoulder straps in the front, and to a cummerbund at the sides with the quick-release straps provided with this product. By opening the lower buckles the whole thing swings to the front for easy access. You can also open one of the shoulder buckles and swing from the side if you're wearing a helmet or something. Do you have to change the radio frequency on the fly? Easypeasy! Hangry and munchies are on your back? Easypeasy! Caught in the rain and the rain cloak is in the pack? Easypeasy! Here, pictures certainly speak louder than words, so it's worth taking a look at the product photos. In short, this adapter kit is especially useful with Vest Packs, which are available in smaller and larger sizes. Similarly, these work with practically any hydration carrier/pocket/backpack/panel/whatever, if it has D-rings in the corners or if you DIY a suitable attachment points yourself! If this happens to be out of stock and you are in a hurry, it's worth taking a look to see if Ranger Green is still available. Note! We used images of the Multicam version - in the M05 version, the fabric parts are M05 patterned, the velcro, the strap and the buckles are green. Features: Attaches to the vests shoulder straps with velcro and D-rings. Loop on one side and hook on the other. Therefore suitable for any vest that has velcro on shoulder straps and the straps are not too big. The width of the D-loop opening is 40 mm, the maximum thickness of the vest's shoulder strap is 5 mm. (All this is very clear in the product photos.) More about compatibilities in the compatibilities section! Attaches to the cummerbund of a plate carrier, or to any vest at waist height, with a 25 mm wide clip. The clip can be opened relatively quickly and is mostly used for attaching the actual quick release buckle. The maximum length of the shoulder fastening straps is approx. 24 cm, excluding the velcro fastening. The minimum length is approx. 12 cm. The maximum length of the waist fasteners is approx. 45 cm each, i.e. they extend 45 cm from the corners of the 23 cm wide Vest Pack toward your front. The largest suitable waist circumference, depending on the thickness of the vest you use, is about 120-140 cm, depending on how far you want the straps to extend. Minimum length approx. 10 cm. The waist fasteners are equipped with small D-rings, which make it easy to adjust the tension. D rings are delightfully small, so they don't get easily caught on the go. Weighs 140 g, which is absolutely nothing. 500D Foxdura and sturdy webbing as the main material. Buckles are of high quality and made by Woojin from Korea. Do we really have to say from which Korea? About Compatibilities: Compatible with virtually all Templar's Gear vests, except the TPC, whose shoulder straps are too wide! You can also use this with the TPC, when you put the shoulder fastening to point backward and rely on the velcro. As an additional note, it should be mentioned that the waist fastener of the Low Profile (and with the PALSless elastic cummerbund) has to be attached to the side of the front plate bag, in which case the waist fastener has to be opened when the vest is taken off. How about other vests and load carrying equipment? Plate carriers, chest rigs, shoot-me-first-vests and others from all over the world are good to go, as long as the following requirements are met: Shoulder straps are at most 40 mm wide and 5 mm thick OR you rely on velcro. Shoulder straps have some velcro at the bottom or in between. However, this is not mandatory, as the D rings are the main stabilizing force, the velcros just make them stay put. The shoulder strap can be installed either way (hook or loop pointing upward). On the front side of the vest there are places where you can attach the waist fasteners OR you can DIY attachment points OR you can connect the waist fasteners, so that the combo functions as a traditional backpack waist strap. It is easy to connect the ends with the same clips that attach them to vests as well. Materials & manufacturing The Templar’s Gear M05 products are manufactured from the Finnish Foxa 500 denier Foxdura fabric by using laser cut technology, which enabled us to reduce the weight of the gear without compromising reliability. The material meets the Finnish Defence Forces' requirements for IRR protection and the other materials are also IRR treated. This means that the products can be safely used even in situations where you need to be hidden in the IR spectrum! The laser cut PALS webbings are also extremely durable, because they don’t have stitches which are prone to wear and tear. Special attention has been paid to quality control in Templar’s pouches and gear, because a significant portion of the company’s customers are officials, whose safety and well-being might depend on the gear. Conscription in Finnish military Well, since someone’s going to ask anyway, let’s answer: we do not know if this gear can be used when you are in general conscription. If you want to be polite, you can ask your officer, if it’s okay to use your own gear. However, it’s usually easier to apologize later than to get permission. If necessary, we recommend you demonstrate the features of the gear, for example in the IR spectrum, where you can clearly prove that this gear has been made for military use and is not some Chinese knock-off. Cooperation - Yhteistyö - Współpraca Templar's Gear products are delivered to us straight from the factory in Poland. This means that our product selection is updated to the latest and greatest generation almost in real time as replenishments are ordered. Thanks to the close cooperation and our frequent orders, we also have a chance to forward feedback and new ideas to the respective designers. If you as a user have any ideas for product development, we are happy to share them with Templar's Gear. Extended three-year warranty Templar’s Gear products are granted a three-year warranty. In more concrete manner this means for example products sold on this spring will have warranty for three action packed seasons of airsoft, shooting or whatever you do with them. Warranty covers all problems that should arise from defective materials or poor craftsmanship. Carelessness or misuse voids the warranty. It’s been a long time coming – the M05 Tradesoft is proud to present the fruits of co-operation with Templar’s Gear: tactical combat gear with the Finnish M05 camouflage! The aim of this co-operation is to fill a torso-sized hole in the Finnish gear market: before this, it was not possible to have a full combat gear set available with the domestic M05 pattern. We had contemplated on acquiring M05 combat gear before, but had not found a suitable manufacturer before Templar’s Gear. The actual idea of this project was born in the fall of 2017 when the first Templar’s Gear products landed at our headquarters. After finding a suitable friend and partner in Poland, it was obvious that we had to present this gift to the airsoft/reserve forces/military/defence forces/SRA shooting communities and everyone interested in the Finnish camouflage pattern.
