Templar's Plate Carrier - Generation 4 The TPC of Templar's Gear - i.e. Templar's Plate Carrier, is a very capable war-resistant ballistic vest for any use where the equipment is supposed to last. The plate carrier is equipped with smart and thought-out features without compromising quality. Thanks to laser cutting, the weight of the vest has also been kept low. There are so many features that it's easier to list them! Features: On top of the front plate bag there is 4 x 3 6 x 1 PALS/MOLLE matrix. The row of six columns is below the SwiftClips. Stiffened PALS/MOLLE front panel included. The panel has 6 x 3 PALS matrix and it attaches with Velcro and SwiftClip buckles. Stiffened AR/Colt three magazine panel included. Stiffened pouches can also take 5.45 x 39 mm caliber magazines, but larger AK-47 bananas don't fit. Front plate bag has Woojin made QASM buckles, which means practically all SwiftClip-style panels and chest rigs can be attached directly to the plate carrier! As an additional note, if you have some buckles other than Woojin's in your existing set, all QASM standard buckles and most other 25mm buckles will work. Cummerbund has double sided PALS matrix for attaching pouches. In all sizes, the height is 2 rows, with half-a-row above and below. The width is 6 columns in size S, 7 columns in size M, 8 in size L and 9 in size XL. The top and bottom half-a-rows are only available for one side at a time. In effect from pouches point of view the matrix is 2.5 rows high. Internal stiffener inside the cummerbund that prevents bending and provides a sturdy base for loads. The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. Two openable loops are integrated into the pads on each side for routing cables and hydration system hoses. Evacuation handle at the top of back plate bag. PALS matrix under the evacuation handle: the top row is four columns wide, with a 5.5 × 4 PALS matrix below. The matrix has zippers on the sides, so the vest is fully compatible with Templar's back and backpack panels. Both plate bags are 3D-shaped on the inside, which prevents the vest from slipping and makes sure air circulates. Both plate bags have loops on the sides that can be opened for routing cables and hydration system tubes. A suitable ballistic plate standard is 25 x 30 cm. Among the plates of the SAPI and ESAPI series, M size and smaller will fit. Ballistic protection is provided by the excellent Protection Group Danmark selection. Weight: plate bags together 435 g, PALS panel 155 g and the pouch panel 345 g. Cummerbund weighs 150 g, M 160 g, L 170 g, and XL 180 g. Combined total weigh ranges 725 - 945 g depending on size and loadout. That's very light! Made from 500 denier Cordura. Outer surface is Baucent laminate and inner comfortable and breathing Gambeson laminate. Sizing: There is only one size of plate bags, so the variation is mainly taken care of by the cummerbund. In terms of length, the vest can be adjusted to practically any size user, as long as the length of the plate bags (32 cm) is not too much. The width of the plate bags is 26 cm, here are the distances of the attachment points of the cummerbunds (ie, in practice, the minimum-maximum length of one side of the cummerbund between the plate bags, ignoring the elasticity and attaching the Velcro all the way) and the estimated suitable chest circumference: Size: Cummerbund Length, One Side: Estimated Chest Circumference: Small 19-31 cm 85-110 cm Medium 23-35 cm 95-120 cm Large 27-39 cm 105-130 cm X-Large 31-43 cm 115-140 cm Note! Please do mind that the thickness of the plates (or even leaving them out) greatly affects the appropriate chest circumference! In addition, if the circumference of your belly region is larger than your chest, you should measure the circumference a little above the navel.
